I set up the farm shop with my husband in 2005 to sell our own beef. Since then the shop has grown more than we could ever imagine. We now support hundreds of local suppliers, have changed the way we farm and built a kitchen on site. Nowadays I can be found in all aspects of the business however most of the time I supervise the kitchen and love spending time helping in the shop so I can chat to our customers.

No experience but want a chance to learn?
Do you enjoy cooking and baking for your friends and family?

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with an interest and love for food to join our team. You do not need to have any experience of working in a commercial kitchen, but you must willing to learn.

Ideally suited to a school leaver, someone starting out in catering or alternatively someone with experience who wants out of a fast-paced kitchen.

Our kitchen is expanding daily, and now produces a wide variety of high-quality products for our award-winning farm shop. These include steak pies, soups, jam’s, home-baking, salads and much more. Our aim is to reduce food waste in our business and add value to the fantastic produce produced locally and on our farm.

We are now offering someone the exciting opportunity to join this part of our team and help it to grow even further. Applicants should have a very high standard of working in all they do. Great presentation and consistency are key requirements for the products our kitchen creates.

Daily the role would include baking/cooking the required products to keep our farm shop well stocked, packaging these products and ensuring quality throughout. Shifts are done on a rota basis and number of days worked can be discussed to suit the ideal candidate. Hours each day are 8am – 5.30pm with no evening work.

Benefits include staff discount, pension, and the possibility of completing a modern apprenticeship in cookery, internal training, and progression with the opportunity to learn.
