We love sharing what we do here at Ardross. The shop has enabled us to speak directly to the end consumer and we really enjoy the interaction and feedback. So, it is with great excitement that we’d like to invite you to a behind the scenes tour. A chance for you to see what happens on the farm.
Claire and Nikki will take you on a walking tour around our farm explaining what we do, why we do it and what we are hoping to do in the future.
See what we do behind the scenes and how that translates to our shop and shopping locally. Learn why each and every person who shops with us is supporting a large network of local businesses. That you, as a consumer, have a choice every time you buy food. You have a chance to support businesses who not only produce great food, they care about biodiversity, your long term health, climate change and looking after their animals and team.
Here are the details:
We invite you on a behind the scenes tour of our farm
To book please email (info@ardrossfarm.co.uk) or telephone (01333 331400) to secure your place. Places are limited so they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Unfortunately not. We will be walking out into the fields where we keep livestock and even with dogs on leads it would be unsafe for us all to have dogs with us.
Yes, it’s a walking tour. We will walk along an uneven farm track out to the cattle that graze on the dune system near Elie. We will then walk back in and out to our veg field and around the farm buildings.
You are very welcome to bring your children. Please just be aware that the tour isn’t specifically aimed at children. We won’t be handling any of our animals. There is also quite a bit of walking.
We aren’t planning on this being a regular part of our business. We thought it was a nice way to show regular customers what they are buying and why it’s so important to know where your food comes from.
We will go ahead with the tours unless the weather is unsafe. In which case you will be refunded.
If we can resell your ticket we will refund you in full.
Clothes suitable for walking. Waterproof shoes, boots or wellies. If the forecast is wet please bring waterproofs, if it looks hot, a hat and cool clothes would be advisable.
